- This is my music magazine cover and I have used Indie magazines such as NME to influence my cover.
NME MUSIC MAGAZINE COVERS:
- These two music magazines are the magazines that I used as inspiration for my own cover. The reason as to why I used these covers for inspiration is because they're quite bold and eye catching. For example, the Jake Bugg magazine is bold and eye catching, despite there being hardly any writing on it, as the image is black and white which, for the magazine, acts as a statement. The colours used are also bold. The magazine that has Lilly Allen on it is also bold and eye catching as the main image takes most of the space and the colours that have been used are quite bold. For example, black and red is used which really catches the audiences attention. Linking this to my music magazine cover, I have used an image which is in the center of the page and I have used angle of gaze in order to attract readers. I have also stuck to a colour scheme of burgundy, white and black which are bold colours. In the magazine covers above, bar codes are used, graphics are used, subheadings, and pull quotes. I have added these in my magazine too. Therefore, I think that my music magazine covers link to the ones above as I have used similar conventions.
